More than a month after Alabama's offer, the University of Georgia has jumped into the fray, offering Brentwood Academy four-star quarterback George MacIntyre on Tuesday, according to MacIntyre's Twitter account.

MacIntyre is the No. 2 quarterback in the country for the Class of 2025, according to 247Sports, who guided the Eagles to the Division II-AAA state semifinals. The 6-foot-5, 178-pound sophomore threw for 2,341 yards with 19 touchdowns and four interceptions last fall.

Georgia joins a growing list of Power Five programs that have interest in MacIntyre including Auburn, Colorado, LSU, Tennessee, Michigan and Vanderbilt.

MacIntrye is the grandson of former Vanderbilt football coach George MacIntyre and his uncle, Mike MacIntyre, is the current Florida International football coach.

Two weeks ago, MacIntyre helped guide Brentwood Academy basketball to its first Division II-AA state championship after the Eagles beat Briarcrest Christian, 63-52.
