White House Heritage has hired Scott Murray as its next football coach.

Murray takes over as the Patriots' coach after two seasons at Clarksville Academy. He has over 25 years of coaching experience. During his two seasons in Clarksville, the Cougars went 13-8, a turnaround from a 2020 season in which their only win came by forfeit. Last season, they went 7-4 to achieve their first winning record since 2014.

Before Clarksville Academy, Murray also coached Hunters Lane, Whites Creek, Glencliff and Smith County, his alma mater. He also had a stint as an assistant at Cumberland, where he played collegiately.

In 11 seasons as a coach, Murray's record is 42-73.

Murray replaces Chad Broadrick, who spent just one season at White House Heritage before accepting the defensive coordinator position at Father Ryan.

The Patriots went 1-9 in Broadrick's lone season at the helm.
