Five Clarksville athletes sign to play college sports

Five Clarksville High student-athletes signed on to continue their careers at their respective colleges of choice on Thursday, March 30.

Jada Hunt will play soccer at Wabash Valley College in Mount Carmel, Ill. Hunt was named to the 2022 All-District 13-AAA all-tournament team.

Ella Reynolds will play volleyball at Sewanee in Sewanee, Tenn. Reynolds was part of the All-District 13-AAA team in 2022.

Robert Riley, a wide receiver, will play football at Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio.

Jamar Carnell played running back, quarterback and linebacker in his time with CHS and will move on to play Division I ball at Tennessee Tech. Carnell was a third team all-Midstate selection by Main Street Preps in 2022 and a first team all-Montgomery County running back. He ran for 1,426 yards on 178 carries with 21 touchdowns. He was named to the All-Region 5-6A team.

Davin Garinger will stay local to play quarterback at Austin Peay. Garinger was an all-county honorable mention in 2022 and an All-Region 5-6A team honoree.
