The CSTHEA Patriots defeated Grace Baptist Academy Golden Eagles 14-2 on Thursday thanks to nine runs in the fourth inning. Brady Daniell, Logan Kerley, Daniel Kyle, Branson Daniell, Bryce Daniell, and J.R. Zeimet all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
CSTHEA Patriots got things moving in the first inning. Zeimet's sacrifice fly scored one run for the Patriots.
CSTHEA tallied nine runs in the fourth inning from singles by Kyle, Daniell, and Zeimet, walks by Kerley and Daniell, and a double by Daniell.
Kerley led the Patriots to victory on the mound.
The righthander went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking one. Cayden Grant threw two innings in relief.
Strong Redd took the loss for Grace. He struck out four.
CSTHEA tallied 14 hits in the game. Daniell, Daniell, Ben McBride, Zeimet, and Noble Lucius all managed multiple hits. Daniell went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead CSTHEA in hits. Daniell led CSTHEA with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 10 stolen bases.
