CLARKSVILLE, TN – Clarksville Academy, a pre-K through 12-grade college preparatory, independent school, is proud to announce the hire of Steadman Bell as the varsity football head coach.

Coach Bell comes to Clarksville Academy after a successful run as assistant football coach for Nashville Christian School. While at NCS, he saw two state championship games and went to the semi-final playoffs four times. Prior to coaching at NCS, Bell was part of the coaching staff at Dickson County High School and also assisted the Vanderbilt football program during the 2016 season.

“Steadman Bell is the kind of man we want growing our athletes,” CA Athletic Director Matt Hoppe said. “His knowledge of football, passion for coaching, positive attitude, and drive for leading great athletes and great men were just a few of the qualities we wanted in a head coach. He has a reputation for being a strong leader on and off the field. We have a solid program at CA, and we want to see it continue to grow. The next few years are critical to the success of football at CA, and I am confident Coach Bell is the man to lead us. ”

Bell graduated from Langston University with a BS in Health Physical Education, Recreation Wellness. He will join the CA staff as the admissions and college guidance assistant in addition to his football duties.

“My goal is to have an impact at Clarksville Academy, both on and off the field, for the student-athletes and the entire CA community. I strongly feel that building a successful program is not about one person but a community. It begins with the smallest Cougar and goes to the highest administrator. My time on campus showed me that the school and the community can and will do it! I am excited to begin this new adventure with the Cougars,” Bell said.

Bell will begin work at Clarksville Academy in early May. For information on Clarksville Academy and its programs, visit clarksvilleacademy.com.
