Unaka was able to keep pace on Wednesday.

The Rangers dropped a 13-3 decision to University High in the District 1-A tournament on Wednesday at Northeast Credit Union Ballpark.

Unaka will take on the loser of the North Greene and Hampton game in an elimination game on Thursday night.

UH found a groove early as they built an 11-0 lead after three innings.

After a scoreless fourth, Unaka tried to mount a rally.
Jamol Blamo opened the inning with a single, and Jaycob Niddifer hit a single to put two on with no outs.

Landon Ramsey hit a shot to left field that scored a run, and Logan Lewis hit a double to plate Nidiffer and Ramsey.

The Rangers, however, were unable to continue the run and extend the game.

Lewis and Ramsey had two and one RBI, respectively.
