FAYETTEVILLE — Shelbyville Central’s Golden Eaglettes closed out the regular season the right way with an impressive 6-5 win over Lincoln County on the road on Tuesday night.
The Eaglettes scored two runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed.
The Lady Falcons tied the score at 3-3 in the bottom of the third inning but Shelbyville Central found a way to pull off the win down the stretch.
Sammie Brown got the win in the circle, scattering seven hits while fanning three batters and walking a pair to do the distance.
Lilly Brown belted a home run while Alyssa Smith and Kaydence Rippy added a double apiece. Ariana Floyd added two singles.
Mia Brown blasted a home run and single while Hallie Meels had a double and two singles for Lincoln County.
