Lady Vikings Class AA East Sectional Titles; Lady Falcons Third, Volunteer Boys Fourth

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee High Lady Vikings and Greeneville Greene Devils picked up tiles in very competitive team races at the Class AA East Sectional Track & Field Championships Saturday at the University of Tennessee’s Tom Black Track.
The Lady Vikings compiled 128 points to knock off Signal Mountain, which has won six of the last seven sectional titles, by less than ten points. Volunteer came home third in the girls’ standings with 99 points.
The boys competition was even tighter as first through fourth were separated by only 18 points. Greeneville led the way with 86 points followed by Signal Mountain with 82. Elizabethton placed third with 79 points with Volunteer fourth with a total of 68 points.
