Brentwood Academy 2025 5-star QB George MacIntyre offered by Clemson football

It's been a busy past few weeks for Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre who picked up an offer from Clemson on Wednesday afternoon, according to MacIntyre's Twitter account.

MacIntyre has a five-star ranking and is the No. 2 quarterback in the country for the Class of 2025, according to 247Sports Composite. He's the No. 1 prospect in Tennessee and No. 13 overall prospect, nationally. He received offers from TCU (May 16) and Oregon (May 19), and spent the past weekend in Los Angeles at a quarterback camp. He visited Clemson this week.

The 6-foot-5, 178-pound sophomore threw for 2,341 yards with 19 touchdowns and four interceptions last fall and holds 35 offers including from Alabama, Georgia, Colorado, Auburn, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, LSU and Michigan.

MacIntyre is the grandson of former Vanderbilt football coach George MacIntyre and his uncle, Mike MacIntyre, is the current Florida International football coach.

MacIntyre also was a key member of the Brentwood Academy basketball team to its first Division II-AA state championship since 2018 after the Eagles beat Briarcrest Christian, 63-52, in March.
