Cyclones Remain Ranked At No. 3; Cloudland, Hampton Receive Votes

Elizabethton held firm while Cloudland and Hampton received votes in the latest AP Tennessee Prep Football poll after Week 7 action.

In Class 4A, Elizabethton came in with 128 points in this week’s poll after taking a thrilling win over Dobyns-Bennett. The Cyclones – who received one first-place vote – were just five points behind No. 2 Upperman.

No. 1 Pearl Cohn remained in at No. 1, while Hardin County and Greeneville rounded out the top five.

In Class 2A, Hampton received votes in this week’s poll after rolling past Eagleton. The Bulldogs recorded 19 points – just two points behind No. 10 Mt. Pleasant.

In Class A, Cloudland also received votes after cruising past North Greene. The ‘Landers earned 10 points in the poll and were 20 points behind No. 10 Union City.
