Rangers Roll Past Hancock County For Region 1-A Win

Unaka hit the gas early and never looked back.

The Rangers rolled to a 52-14 victory over Hancock County in Region 1-A play on Friday night at Goddard Field.

With the win, Unaka improves to 2-5 on the year, and 2-1 in region play.

UHS scored early and often in the early going as they pulled out to a 30-8 advantage in the second quarter.

From there, Unaka was never challenged.

Connor McKinney threw for three touchdown passes and added a 35-yard touchdown run as he finished the game 11-of-16 passing for 107 yards while adding 11 carries for 150 yards on the ground.

Isaiah White had two touchdown catches nabbing four catches for 67 yards.

Kian Barton had eight carries for 80 yards and added two rushing touchdowns.

AJ Greenless added a touchdown on the ground for the Rangers as he tallied 67 yards on 10 carries, while Micah Gray added a touchdown catch.
