Celebrating another Wildcat win; Oak Ridge plays Bearden Friday

The Oak Ridge Wildcats play a non-region game against Bearden at 7 p.m. Friday on Blankenship Field. The Wildcats are coming off a 35-3 win against the Farragut Admirals on Oct. 6. Bearden defeated Region 2-6A rival Farragut 21-14 on Sept. 21. Bearden hadn't beat Farragut since 2018. Elsewhere in the area, Clinton, Anderson County and Oliver Springs don't play again until Oct. 20. The Clinton Dragons lost to Lenoir City, 14-7, on Oct. 6 and they next play Karns. Anderson County High Mavericks lost to West by a score of 8-7 and next play Gibbs. Oliver Springs beat Whitwell, 22-8, and will play Coalfield next.
