Happy Valley Runs To Seventh Straight Win

Happy Valley kept on rolling Friday night.

The Warriors won their seventh straight game by dispatching West Greene 38-28 on Warrior Hill on Friday night. With the win, HV ends the regular season with a 7-3 mark.

HV will enter the playoffs as the No. 2 seed from Region 1-2A and will host Oneida for the first round.

The Warriors jumped out early as Joseph Sowards scored on a short touchdown run midway through the first quarter.

HV pushed the lead to 16-0 in the second quarter with an Aiden Paul run from seven yards out, but West Greene answered with a Wyatt Moody score from four yards out.

The final minute of the first half saw Ron Paul Parker take an end around for a touchdown as Happy Valley took a 22-6 lead at the half.

A. Paul opened the scoring in the third with a touchdown run to push the HV lead to 30-6.

After West Greene scored late third quarter, Sowards found the endzone once against A. Paul added the two-point conversion to account for the final Warrior score.

Sowards finished the game with 133 rushing yards to lead the Warriors.
