KNOXVILLE — Dobyns-Bennett senior star harrier Luke Mussard continues to make history.

At Thursday’s KYA High School time trial at Hardin Valley, Mussard — a Wake Forest commit — became the first Northeast Tennessee runner to break the 9-minute barrier in the 3,200-meter run in 52 years by clocking 8:59.79 and finishing second to Knox Webb’s Colin Eckerman (8:56.29).
