Wednesday Round-up: Cloudland, Hampton, HV Pick Up Wins

Cloudland 66, Ceaderview 17
The Lady ‘Landers jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back at the Happy Valley Thanksgiving Classic.

CHS led 43-8 at the half.

McKenzie Street led Cloudland with 21 points, while Isabella Christman finished with 18 points. Makinna Shell and Ryan Turbyfill had six and five points, respectively.

Hampton 71, Tri-Cities Christian 39
The Lady Bulldogs rolled to a win on the opening day of the Happy Valley Classic.

Hampton jumped out to a 24-12 lead after a quarter of play and pushed the advantage to 50-17 at the half.

Taylor Berry and Lacey Smith had 12 points apiece for the Lady Bulldogs. Macy Henry and Ella Estep had eight and seven points, respectively.

Volunteer 63, Unaka 26
The Lady Rangers were unable to overcome a quick Volunteer start on Wednesday.

Volunteer jumped out to a 17-0 lead, but the Lady Rangers trimmed the lead to eight points. The Lady Falcons, however, used a run to end the half to pull back away.

Alisha Harrell led Unaka with 12 points, while Haley Taylor had nine points.

Happy Valley 35, Twin Springs (Va.) 23
The Lady Warriors won a defensive battle in the nightcap on Warrior Hill on Friday night.

It was a tight battle through the game as the game was tied at 9-9 after the first quarter, and HV pulled out to a 23-15 halftime lead.

From there, the Lady Warriors were able to hold off Twin Springs for the win.

Kayla Parker had 14 points to pace Happy Valley. Marcida Moore tossed in 12 points.
