Why Crews Law signed with UNC football? Playing with brother big part of decision

Crews Law
For The Tennessean

The Tennessean asked its members of the 2023 Dandy Dozen to write in their own words why they signed with each college.

Crews Law announced his commitment to UNC football in June and has remained loyal to his decision. His brother, Cade, is also now at North Carolina, after originally signing with Vanderbilt baseball.

Here is why Crews Law signed with UNC football, in his own words:

My decision to commit and now sign with the University of North Carolina was complex.

North Carolina was a school that stood out to me from my very first visit to Chapel Hill. The town of Chapel Hill had a very home-like feeling as soon as we arrived. This is one thing that made Chapel Hill stand out.

Some others are things like the way Alex White, Molly Jacoby, Jes Hryn, and the entire recruiting staff welcomed me and made me a priority from the get-go. Also, the way the coaching staff made me a priority from my first visit to all the way throughout the entire recruiting process.

I believe I have a great chance to play early in this program. The time (inside linebackers) coach (Tommy) Thigpen, (assistant head coach for defense Gene) Chizik, and coach (Mack) Brown have poured into me over the last year and a half showed me where their interest was with me.

Coach Brown really exemplifies the commitment that they have to the football program with their facilities, resources, and attendance to games.

Their persistence in their recruiting towards me continued as they embraced the idea of my brother moving from baseball to football. My brother, Cade, and I believe that it is an opportunity for us both to make a difference in an organization focused on both winning and developing men for life after football.

When my time with football comes to an end one day I am going to have the education and assets to be successful after and outside of football.

At last, much prayer and thought went into this decision, but in the end I felt the best opportunity to continue my career in Chapel Hill alongside my brother.

Go Tar Heels!
