Tennessee football five-star quarterback George MacIntyre has made it a priority to help the Vols recruit for the class of 2025 since announcing his commitment.

That includes a dominant offensive line. And for in-state prospects, MacIntyre's most important target is Lipscomb Academy interior lineman Chauncey Gooden.

Gooden, a 6-foot-4, 315-pound offensive lineman, is the No. 6 recruit in Tennessee for the class of 2025 according to the 247Sports Composite. He'll be a three-year starter this fall.

More importantly for the Vols, he already has a good relationship with MacIntyre, the No. 3 quarterback in the country and No. 1 prospect in Tennessee for 2025.

"GMac is definitely trying to recruit me and trying to get me to come there," Gooden said of MacIntyre. "Tennessee is always going to be a great place.

"George has been my guy. Every conversation we have, he wants me to come to Tennessee."

MacIntyre, a Brentwood Academy junior, said last week he's also recruiting David Sanders Jr., the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country. Sanders and Gooden together on the line could potentially help anchor the Vols' offensive front.

Brentwood Academy and Lipscomb Academy play Oct. 25 at Brentwood Academy in a Division II-AA East Region game.

Gooden is a two-time Tennessean All-Midstate member and TSWA all-state offensive lineman.

MacIntyre was 285-of-423 passing for 3,229 yards this past season. He had 25 touchdown passes, with 12 interceptions.
