Behind a big game from Jaden Seymour, ETSU men's hoops picked up a road win to help their SoCon resume moving forward on Wednesday night.

The Bucs took control early on and carried a six-point lead into the half, which eventually grew to 12 several times during the second half - but Mercer kept clawing back into it to set up a wild finish.

With just over a minute to play and clinging to a three-point lead, the Bucs corralled and loose ball and Karon Boyd laid the ball in for two huge points that would prove to be the game-sealer.

A pair of Quimari Peterson free throws with seconds left put the game away in a 54-49 win.

This time it was the defense stepping up in a big way. The 49 points allowed marked the lowest point total in the 41-game history of the series between ETSU and Mercer.

Seymour led the way with 20 points and six boards, followed by 14 points from Ebby Asamoah who hit four of the Bucs' seven threes on the night.

The Bucs now come back to Johnson City for a three-game homestand - starting with The Citadel on Saturday inside Freedom Hall.
