Cumberland County's own Aliyah Hawkins was chosen Defensive Player of the Year by Class 3A, District 7 basketball coaches Monday in district tournament meetings in Crossville.
She was joined on the team by Ava Jones, Gracie Clark, Mallie Gene Coleman, Bella Mullins and Kailee Waldo.
The girls district tournament is set to begin Feb. 16 at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. CCHS is scheduled to play Stone Memorial Friday at 7 p.m.
