Lady Redskins outlast Sequoyah in District 5-3A Play-in Game

Loudon senior Addison Garner drives to the basket in District 5-3A Play-In Game against Sequoyah at Lenoir City High School.

The Loudon High School girls basketball team took down on the Sequoyah High School Lady Chiefs in the District 5-3A Play-in Match Thursday night at Lenoir City High School, punching their ticket to the Semifinals against Heritage High School Friday.

“This win was really awesome…This is the first time we made the Region Tournament since the 2016-17 season,” Brad Abernathy, LHS head coach said. “And so that's been seven years so I'm really proud of our girls. Their adversity we've had low numbers, we've had plenty of reasons not to do anything good but these girls have risen to the occasion. I'm very proud and they were so excited to not and they shouldn't be, they've done a great job.”
