Four Tellico Plains Bears scored in double figures as the Bears made quick work in their 2024 postseason debut.
Winning 77-49 over Meigs County Wednesday in Englewood, Tellico qualified for the District 3-2A semifinals and clinched a spot in the Region 2-2A tournament.
It will be the Bears’ first berth in the region tournament since 2020-21.
Rylan Woods led Tellico (19-7) with 24 points, followed by 10 each from Kinley Atkins, KT Hamilton and Burgess Tate. Ayden Pilkey finished with seven.
Tellico knocked down 29 field goals, including 13 3-pointers in the rout. Woods tallied six triples and found 18 points in the third frame — growing the Bears’ advantage from 14 points to 26.
Nate Powell led the Tigers (5-22) with 11 points as Meigs County finished with 16 field goals.
Tellico advances to face McMinn Central in Friday’s semifinal round.
