CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Christian School girls’ basketball team dominated the Boyd Christian Broncos to win the 2023-24 TSIAA State Championship on Saturday. With their 68-23 victory, the Lady Centurions have now won three consecutive state championship titles.

Clarksville Christian freshman forward Lauren Hassell helped lead her team to victory after she compiled 31 points, nine rebounds and four assists. In addition, she dominated the defensive end with three blocks and three steals. Meanwhile, CCS junior Nevaeh Brooks contributed 19 points and six steals herself.

Lady Centurions head coach Trenton Hassell told Clarksville Now the championship victory meant a lot to him and his team.

“We’re all about establishing a legacy of winning at our school,” Hassell said. “We played one of the top schedules, not just in Tennessee, but in the nation. … It’s been a journey, and it shows our hard work and playing against the best has paid off to get us to this point.”

Clarksville Christian girls’ basketball will now begin to prepare for the Division III NACA National Tournament that is expected to take place March 5 through the 9th. The Lady Centurions have won the past two national championships, so they will look to add another title on the national stage next month.
