CLARKSVILLE, TN – Montgomery Central is smashing school records, sending 18 wrestlers to TSSAA State this weekend. The boys and girls programs are both sending 9 athletes to Franklin. The previous high-water mark for the boys was 5 qualifiers in 2009 and 2022, and the girls sent 6 in 2015 and 2022.

The Central program landed three champions and seven total finalists, with senior Reese Levendusky winning his second sectional title, adding to his 2022 title at 120 pounds with a title this year at 144 pounds in the Section 4 Class A qualifier. On the girls’ side, seniors Gracie Tuberville won her first regional title at 107 and Cearyona O’Connor won her first title at 165. O’Connor also won the Most Outstanding Wrestler award.

The Indians had four other finalists this year, with 138-pound junior Jeremy Mills and 190-pound junior Immanuel Gilmore both earning their first trips to the sectional finals and state tournaments. For the girls, 138-pound junior Jocelyn Koloszy and 145-pound sophomore Audrey Levendusky made the finals and punched their tickets to State. It will be Koloszy’s first trip to Franklin, while Levendusky is a returning state champion.

The girls traveled to Colliersville on Friday to compete in the Region 4 qualifier.
