CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Following Clarksville High’s 62-51 win over the Collierville Dragons, the Lady Wildcats have officially punched their ticket to return to the class 4A state tournament.

Clarksville High played from behind early on, which included the team losing by 7 points after the first quarter, but they turned it around following the halftime break, according to the Lady Wildcats official X account.

The Clarksville Wildcats defeated the Rossview Hawks in the District 13-4A Championship (Knox Rives)

With effective play on each end of the floor, Clarksville High went on a 21-6 run during the third quarter, which ultimately gave them the upper hand for a 62-51 win.

Clarksville High returns to the state tournament following a state quarterfinal loss to Greenbrier High during the 2022-23 high school basketball season.

The Lady Wildcats, who now have an undefeated record of 31-0, will face Bradley Central (31-1) in the opening round of the state tournament. The game between the two teams is scheduled for Wednesday, March 6 with tipoff set for around 2:15 p.m. at Middle Tennessee State University, according to the TSSAA girls’ basketball bracket.

In other news, Rossview High girls’ basketball lost to Bartlett High and had their postseason come to an end on Saturday.
