On a glorious afternoon on campus Baylor had a double header vs Gibbs and was victorious in both games.
Game 1: Baylor 9 Gibbs 4
The Lady Red Raiders jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Riley Oleksik double, scoring one run, Holly Merritt singled, scoring one run and Chloe Cunningham singled, scoring two more runs.
Baylor added to their lead with two runs in the bottom of the second inning thanks to two solo Homeruns by Holly Merritt and Riley Oleksik.
Avery Shamblin earned the win for the Red Raiders only giving up six hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none.
Baylor piled up 10 hits in the game with Chloe Cunningham seizing on the opportunities leading Baylor with four runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup.
Game 2: Baylor 13 Gibbs 1
Riley Oleksik hit two homeruns and drove in two Red Raiders.
She homered in the 2nd and 4th innings.
Baylor bats heated up scoring seven runs in the fourth inning on their way to victory.
Addi Yates doubled, scoring two runs, Riley Jasper doubled, scoring one run, Holly Merritt homered to left field, scoring two runs, followed by Riley O solo shot to left field.
Five more Red Raiders runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 6-0. Kaylee Snyder singled, scoring two runs, and Xahara Willis homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Kaylee Snyder earned the win for the Red Raiders giving up zero hits and one run over five innings, striking out seven and walking five. Baylor collected 13 hits in the game. Holly Merritt, Riley Oleksik, Riley Jasper, and Xahara Willis each collected two hits for the Lady Red Raiders. Xahara went two for two at the plate as she led the team with three runs batted in.
