David Crockett falls in state quarterfinals to Ridgeway

The David Crockett boys basketball team saw its season come to an end with a 62-39 loss to Ridgeway in the Class 3A state quarterfinals.

The Pioneers kept it close in the first quarter, trailing just 12-10 after one. But the Roadrunners exploded for a 19-6 second quarter to go up 14 at the break. Crockett actually closed the gap in the third quarter out-scoring Ridgeway 14-11. But the Roadrunners had another big quarter in the fourth going on a 20-9 run to put the game away.

Bradley Gouge led the Pioneers in scoring with 10 points. David Crockett finishes the season at 28-7 on the year.
