KINGSPORT — Tegan Begley hammered a two-run walk-off home run to left field to lift the Dobyns-Bennett baseball team to a 3-1 nonconference win over Unicoi County on Friday and keep the Indians’ record spotless at 4-0.
Tied at 1 going into the bottom of the seventh inning, Andrew Reilly tripled with one out to start the rally. Begley, facing a 2-0 count, then came through with his big fly.
Begley also earned the win on the mound after giving up just two hits and no runs over the last two frames.
Kaden Cutlip and Caleb Murr each had two hits for the Blue Devils, Cutlip also driving in the run.

Unaka 5, Sullivan East 3
ERWIN — Mollie Buckles hit a triple and a double, matching Katlyn Dugger by going 2-for-2 at the plate for Unaka.
Gracie Stout struck out six and earned the win in the circle.
BOYS SOCCER
Dobyns-Bennett 1, Station Camp 0
GATLINBURG — Bryson Broadwater had the lone goal for the Indians just 2:45 into the Smoky Mountain Cup win. Of D-B’s 17 shots, 14 were on goal.
Ethan Cline made four saves for the Tribe.
Union 5, Sullivan East 2
BLUFF CITY — Brayden Wharton scored four times in the Bears’ season-opening win on the road, and Reyshawn Anderson had the other Union goal. Keyshawn Anderson made 10 saves in goal for the victors.
Grant Giles and Kingston Stewart each had a goal for the Patriots and Blake Paduch recorded two assists. Maxx Horne and Will Phillips combined to make 11 saves for East.
