Ooltewah won its second game of the year on a blustery day at Ooltewah. Ooltewah freshman pitcher Hailey Schmidt struck out 10 and surrendered six hits en route to her first career win as a Lady Owl. Senior Zoe Cates led the way offensively by collecting two hits, with an RBI.
Brooklyn Smith, Schmidt, Sophie Harris, Katelyn Gelbaugh, and Niya Mooney all had hits for the Owls. The Owls stole five bases to keep pressure on the Panthers. Ooltewah will travel to Bradley Central tomorrow in a big district game for both teams.
Game time is 5:00 p.m.
