Lillian Martin started and threw the entire game for Tullahoma when they played at Harris. She allowed just three hits and two earned runs. Martin threw 69 pitches, 39 in the strike zone.
The Lady Wildcats had nine hits and nine walks. KK Campbell, Julianna ltes and Neveah Harden were the ladies with multiple hits on the road. Ites had a triple and a single, Campbell had a pair of doubles and Harden smacked a pair of singles. Kaylee Casselman, Macie Bukar and Joslynn Lidstrom had one hit each. Lidstrom and Bukar both had doubles. Ites led the team with three RBI. Casselman had two. Campbell and Addison Tate had one RBI each. Tate’s RBI came on a sac fly. Bukar, MKenzie Tate and Lidstrom all walked twice. Campbell, Ites and Samantha Johnson walked once.Â
The Lady Wildcats jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the top of the first and never trailed again.
On Thursday the Lady Eagles travelled to Tullahoma. The Lady ‘Cats took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first, Harris answered and led 6-3 after the top of the second. Tullahoma kept scoring and took a 10-6 lead going into the third. The Lady Eagles plated another six runs to go up 12-10 before Tullahoma hit in the third. The Lady Wildcats scored the next 12 runs of the contest to end the game early up 22-12.
Martin started as the pitcher for Tullahoma and threw two innings. She struck out two and allowed just three hits. Martin found the zone on 25 of 55 pitches. Campbell took the ball in the third inning and finished the game for the Lady ‘Cats. She struck out four batters and allowed just two hits. She threw 27 strikes on 51 pitches.
The Tullahoma lineup was patient at the plate in their home opener, walking 15 times. They added eight base hits. Campbell led the way taking four walks. Johnson and Lidstrom both walked three times. Bukar and Ella Gracin Bennett walked twice and Harden walked once. Ites led the Lady ‘Cats with three hits. Campbell, Casselman, Harden, Bennett and Addison Tate had a hit each. Ites and Bennett led the team with three RBI each. Tate, Harden and Bennett had a pair of RBI. Campbell and Casselman had one RBI.
Tullahoma will host Lincoln County on Mon, March 25 at East Middle. First pitch for Varsity is at 5 p.m. JV will follow.
