ELIZABETHTON — Will Ritz and Cam Hayworth ensured the Dobyns-Bennett baseball team stayed undefeated.
Both had multiple hits to help the Indians take down Elizabethton 12-2 on Thursday.
Ritz went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs and three RBIs. Hayworth was 2-for-3, scored twice and drove in three runs. Tegan Begley doubled and Taylor Blankenship tripled in their 2-for-4 days for the Tribe (7-0).
Bryson Rowland had two hits, including a double, and scored for the Cyclones.

GRAY — The Trailblazers (4-2) rallied from a four- run deficit, and had five batters with multihit games.
Brayden Blankenship had just one hit, but it was a two-run homer in the fourth inning. Graham Jones and Chandler Justice tripled, and Jackson McCurry and Tim McGonigle each rapped out a double.
Braydon Norton got the win in relief after allowing just four hits over the last four frames.
Connor Hendrix belted a two-run homer and Marcus Greenway went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored for the Pioneers.

SEVIERVILLE — The Bison (3-2) did not take their first lead until the sixth, when Noah Rice hit his second single of the game. Tucker Smith hit a grand slam and scored twice. Cooper Greer went 2-for-3 for Hilltoppers.
Against Sevier County, Major Osbolt doubled and Landon Smelser had two hits for Science Hill. Eli Koch had a 2-for-3 night and Isaiah Pappas tossed a complete game, striking out nine, to lead the Smoky Bears.

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Dayne Musick’s 2-for-4 line with three runs scored and three RBIs paced the Vikings. Starter Jimmy Phipps allowed only one hit in four innings.
Cooper Stevenson had both of the Bucs’ hits.
Cherokee 14, Happy Valley 0
ELIZABETHTON — Cole Putnal hit a three-run homer as part of Cherokee’s nine-run third inning. He and Jacob Brooks had two hits each, and Mason Emery went 3-for-3 with a double.
Parker Travis struck out five in the first three innings to get the win.
Drew Blevins doubled for one of Happy Valley’s two hits.
Carter 10, Volunteer 9
KNOXVILLE — Trailing 7-1 in the second inning, Carter rallied for the walk-off win. Trey Painter drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh.
Connor Haynes and Austin Williams each went 2-for-3 with a double for Volunteer, and Williams drove in three.
Union 4, Chilhowie 3
BIG STONE GAP — Sam Whitman scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to cap his 2-for-4 day. Keith Chandler went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Collyn Neff pitched three innings of scoreless relief for the Bears (4-1).

ABINGDON — Jett Humphreys and Daniel Fellhauer had three hits each, and they combined for three extra-base hits, six runs scored and seven RBIs for the Falcons (4-0)
Virgil Hobbs and Jacob Loemard had the Generals’ hits.

RURAL RETREAT — The Indians (3-1) got a four-RBI game from Tucker Fontaine. Fontaine went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and four runs scored.
Brandon Edwards went 2-for-3 with two runs scored out of the leadoff spot for the Raiders.

BLUFF CITY — Kenzie Hood struck out eight for the Lady Eagles (3-0), only allowing three hits.
Hood and Gracie Turner each went 3-for-4 and both recorded an RBI double.
Carly Bradford went 1-for-3 with a solo home run for the Lady Patriots.

BIG STONE GAP — Aliyah Davidson earned the victory by striking out 10 in a two-hit shutout for the Lady Bears (4-0). Kynlee Johnson had a multihit game and scored once.
Jordan Mooney went 1-for-2 with a base-on-balls for the Lady Raiders.

JONESBOROUGH — A Lexi Hawkins two-run double walked it off for the Lady Pioneers (3-1). The heroics capped off a 3-for-3 day at the plate, joining Bailey Dugger in the three-hit club. Julie Maupin doubled twice and Chelsea Williams homered.
Madelyn Dulaney picked up the win in relief.
Kaley Toney went 3-for-4 with two doubles, and Aaliyah Engle tripled for Unicoi County.

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Carly Compton struck out 15 and pitched a one-hit shutout for the Lady Vikings. She and Addie Wilhoit both homered, while Maddisyn Hall batted 2-for-3.
Mollie Johnson doubled for Elizabethton’s only hit.

BLOUNTVILLE — Emma Salas scored the eventual winning goal in the 58th minute on Feliz Delgado’s assist, and Sam Randall made nine saves.
Caleb Mason scored Boone’s first goal, assisted by Andrew Louter.
Kendall Burton scored the equalizer for West Ridge on a free kick.
Science Hill 3, Knox West 1
KNOXVILLE — Lucas Trull found the back of the net twice to help Science Hill open the Bearden Invitational victorious.
Samuel Moody scored the Hilltoppers’ other goal, Yasin Kassaby had an assist and keeper Foster Childress got the win in goal.
