The Lady Wildcats softball team hosted the Rebelettes Tuesday and came away with the 20-10 victory.
Tullahoma was locked in at the plate, tallying 22 hits in five innings. The Lady ‘Cats also walked six times. Kaitlynn Gattis demolished a ball to left field for the first Tullahoma Home Run of the 2024 season. The 2-run HR was a part of the nine run first inning. The Wildcats went eight at bats without recording an out in the inning. Madison Goad led the team with four hits on the day. Gattis, Addyson Norman and Margaret Lynch each had three hits. Norman had a double, the only extra base hit for the Lady ‘Cats other than Gattis’ HR. Kylee Holt, Brinley Gillam, Aleigha Raby and Elizabeth Simpson had two hits each. Miaha Johnson had a hit in her only at bat of the game and an RBI.
Gattis led the team with five RBI. Goad had four and Norman had two. Holt, Sara Tate, Raby, Simpson and Lynch all had one RBI. Tate drew two walks in the game. Norman, Goad, Raby and Simpson each walked once.
Amaya Sharp started and pitched the entire game for the Lady Wildcats. She threw 95 pitches through five innings. Sharp only allowed three earned runs of the 10 runs scored. She walked just one batter and struck one batter out.
Tullahoma lost a close game Wednesday night against Cascade 20-16. Both teams were patient at the plate as there was a combine 39 base on balls allowed. The Lady ‘Cats scored six runs in the seventh inning but could not overcome their deficit. The Champions scored nine in the fifth inning to go up 17-8. Norman had three hits in the game. Goad, Tate and Sharp recorded the other three hits for the team. Holt drew five walks. Taylor Brinkley and Tate took first for free three times. Goad, Gilliam, Olivia Lynch and Sharp walked twice. Johnson and Norman drew a walk each.
Anzley Holloway threw all seven innings for Tullahoma. She gave up just five earned runs. She struck out two batters.
The Lady Wildcats will host Marion County on Friday with first pitch at 1 p.m.
