Cloudland softball picked up a county win to remain unbeaten.
The Lady ‘Landers captured an 18-3 victory over Happy Valley on Monday evening in Roan Mountain to move to 4-0 on the season.
After the Lady Warriors plated a run in the top of the first, Cloudland responded with four of their own in the home side of the frame.
HV was able to get one of the runs back to close the lead to 4-2, but Cloudland plated four more in the bottom of the second and seven more in the third to take full control.
Ryan Turbyfill recorded five RBI and four hits to lead Cloudland, while Sahara McKinney had four RBI and two hits – including a home run.
Reagan Turbyfill and Eowyn McCoury ended the game with three hits.
Bethany Sluder and Layken Blair each added two RBI.
For Happy Valley, Makalya Miller and Addison Holt each added a hit and an RBI, while Miley Miller and Trinity Bowers also added a hit for the Lady Warriors.
