On Friday night, the Tennessee men's hoops team will take the floor in Detroit as they aim to knock off No. 3 Creighton and reach their first Elite Eight since 2010.

But in order to do so, the Vols are staying locked in on the one opponent that sits in front of them - without looking ahead.

"We have the utmost confidence in each other and coach Barnes has all the confidence in us, all the coaches do. Going into every game, we expect to win and we know we're going to do whatever it takes. But, whatever happens out there happens, we know we're going to be the tougher team," said Zakai Zeigler. "We've been saying it the whole time, to take it one game at a time. Don't look forward, don't look ahead. Don't look at the name because anybody can play. Just focus on that game and that team."

And it's that straightforward mentality that has surged the Vols to SEC regular season champions and into the Midwest Region Semifinals.

The Vols tip-off with the Blue Jays at 10:09 pm ET on Friday night with the Region Final in sight.
