Fan poll: Columbia soccer's Benton Wall voted Columbia area boys athlete of the week

The votes are in and Columbia Central's Benton Wall has been voted as The Daily Herald's Columbia area boys athlete of the week for March 25-29.

Wall won the award with 605 votes, accounting for 39.99% of all responses. Wall scored a hat trick in Columbia's 5-1 win over Lincoln County before adding a goal and an assist in a 7-0 win over Warren County last Thursday.

Lawrence County's Alex Bedford finished second in voting with 438 votes, 28.95% of the total responses. Bedford was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs last Friday. Summertown's Zach Staggs finished third in voting with 155 votes. Staggs was 4-for-4, scoring a run along with two RBIs in a 10-6 win over East Limestone last Wednesday.
