The Tullahoma High School softball team hosted the Lady Warriors of Marion County Friday and won 15-0.

Amaya Sharp was in the circle for Tullahoma and she pitched three hitless innings before the game was called due to the mercy rule. She struck out six batters.
The Lady Wildcats were dominate at the plate drawing nine walks and racking up 10 hits. Kylee Holt started the game off drawing her first of two walks. Then she stole second and third base. Madison Goad walked in the bottom of the first as well and stole second. Brinley Gillam also walked to bring up Sara Tate with the bases loaded. She grounded into a fielder’s choice that scored Holt. Tullahoma was up 1-0 after the first inning. After a quick top half of the second, the Lady ‘Cats scored five in the bottom half. Elizabeth Simpson singled to start off the big innings and then Miaha Johnson reached on an error. AC Holloway drew a walk to load the bases for Holt, who grabbed an RBI by being hit by a pitch. Addye Norman lined a ball into center field to score Johnson and make it 3-0 Tullahoma. Goad smoked a ball into center field that was caught, but Holloway scored after tagging up. Then Gillam lined a ball into center field to score Holt and Norman, expanding the lead to 6-0. Marion County got a pair of runners into scoring position after a couple of walks and a passed ball. Sharp shut it down by getting a strikeout to end the inning. The Lady Wildcats offense kept the momentum by adding six runs on a two out rally.
Holloway started the rally with a walk before back-to-back singles from Holt and Norman. Goad picked up a RBI taking a walk to score Holloway. Gillam singled, scoring Holt and Norman. Tate singled to left field to bring home Goad and make it 10-0. The Lady Warriors made a pitching change and then Aleigha Raby singled to left in a 2-2 count to load the bases for Simpson. Gillam scored on a wild pitch during Simpson’s at-bat. She drew a walk and reloaded the bases for Johnson. She smashed a ball through the hole on the left side of the infield to score Tate and Raby. Holloway walked for the third time in the game to give Holt a chance to walk the game off. She walked on five pitches to bring in Simpson and set up Norman for the walk-off. She hit a hard ground ball to short stop and beat out the throw to first, scoring Johnson to end the game via run rule.
Tullahoma will be back at home Thursday to take on district leading Giles County at 5:30 p.m. Â
