Happy Valley baseball used a strong second inning to power a county win on Monday night.

The Warriors plated 12 runs in the second and stormed to a 21-1 victory over Hampton at Scotty Bunton Field Monday.

After HV took a 2-0 lead in the first, the Warriors continued to have momentum in the second frame as the Warriors scored 12 runs in the second.

HV added four runs in the top of the fourth, but the Bulldogs were able to plate one in the home side of the frame.

Hampton continued to battle but was unable to mount a rally the rest of the way.

On the mound, Tucker Shoun struck out nine batters for the Warriors and allowed just one earned run on three hits.

Colton Johnson went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Ty Johnson added two hits. Dakota Grindstaff, Cade Kendall, and Johnson had two RBI apiece.

Chance Point, Chase Davenport, and Parker Williams each had a hit for the Bulldogs while Williams finished with a RBI.
