Former Marion County Warrior has Record Setting Day in the UFL

Former Marion County Warrior Jacob Saylors had a big day for the St. Louis Battlehawks in their UFL football win over the Memphis Showboats on Saturday.

Jacob Saylors rushed for 103 yards and finished with a receiving touchdown. His 57-yard run set a franchise record for the longest run from scrimmage.

Saylors was a three-sport athlete at Marion County High School (football, basketball, baseball).

In football, he was a four-year starter for the Warriors, where he racked up over 4,100 yards and 74 touchdowns while also adding 18 interceptions … He finished with 1,795 yards and 126 carries with 36 touchdowns his senior season … He helped guide Marion County to three straight Class 2A state championship games and was a three-time all-state selection.

He went on to star for East Tennessee St., earning the FCS Third Team All-America team his junior year. Saylors finished with 3,861 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns on the ground at ETSU and 779 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

The RB had limited playing time for the Cincinnati Bengals this past season before signing with the UFL Battlehawks in February.
