Fan poll: Summit's Davin Roush voted top Columbia area baseball player of the regular season

The votes are in and it was a blowout as Summit's Davin Roush was voted by fans as the top Columbia area baseball player of the regular season.

Roush finished with 36,030 votes, a whopping 81.35% of the total responses. Roush had 55 strikeouts in 39.2 innings pitched in the regular season with a 1.94 ERA.

Lawrence County's Alex Bedford finished second in voting with 5,244 votes, 11.84% of the total. Bedford batted .364 this regular season with seven doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 37 RBIs.

Third place was Richland's Bryce Miller, who finished with 2,402 votes, 5.42% of the vote. Miller batted .469 this regular season with 30 hits and 29 RBIs, striking out just once in 85 plate appearances. He was also 5-1 on the mound with 44 strikeouts in 31 innings pitched.
