Dobyns-Bennett locks down Director of Lacrosse ahead of inaugural boys season

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WCYB) — On Friday, Dobyns-Bennett High School announced the appointment of Chris Belle as the Director of Lacrosse and Head Boys’ Lacrosse Coach - marking the start of a new athletic program at Dobyns-Bennett as lacrosse was just recently sanctioned as a TSSAA sport, beginning at the start of the 2024-2025 school year.

Belle brings a track record of success in the sport. For the past five years, Belle has served as the head coach for the local club team “Tribe Lacrosse”, leading the team to qualifying for the state playoffs in three consecutive years.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the sport, Coach Belle was honored as the TSLA Division 1 Class AA Head Coach of the Year in 2022, highlighting his dedication and excellence in lacrosse coaching.
