The 2025 recruiting cycle is heating up with official visits and many decisions just around the corner. Tennessee is heavily involved with numerous highly sought-after prospects in the class, and we dive into it by looking at the names to know by position. This portion of the Volquest series features the offensive line room.

Current commitments

Tennessee does not currently have any offensive line prospects committed in the cycle which makes the next few months even more important for the Vols as they look to add high-quality bodies to the room.

The current targets

Glen Elarbee’s offensive line targets are plentiful in the 2025 cycle, with multiple four and five-star prospects in play for the Vols. Names to know heading into the summer include, Andrew Babalola, Juan Gaston, Dontrell Glover, Jaelyne Matthews, Nic Moore, Antoni Ogumoro, Josh Petty, David Sanders, Douglas Utu, Mal Waldrep, and Jacobe Ward

Ogumoro took an official visit to Knoxville during the first weekend of the month, and he is set to decide on May 21st. He will decide between several schools including Kansas State, Missouri, North Carolina and Oklahoma. The Vols view Ogumoro as an interior prospect with plenty of upside.

Dontrell Glover, Mal Waldrep, and Jacobe Ward are among the names mentioned that Tennessee views as interior prospects to this point. Each one visited Knoxville in the spring for practice and has said the Vols are high on their respective list heading into the summer. The Vols recently offered local Jefferson County (Tenn.) prospect Nic Moore and are expected to be a factor with him moving forward as well.

Petty and Utu are two prospects with plenty of versatility who could thrive in multiple roles across the offensive line, and the Vols continue to battle for each. Utu was on campus in April, and the Vols will look to get him back for an official visit in the summer. Petty has not yet visited this spring, but he is scheduled to be in town next month on an official visit.

At tackle, Tennessee has worked for months on the remaining names left on the list and has positioned itself well to land a combination from the grouping, by our estimation. Sanders is the clear headliner here, but the Vols value Babalola, Gaston and Matthews highly as well and have worked tirelessly in the recruitment of each, which is why they are positioned among the lead group for each one of these guys heading into official visits.
