After keeping their postseason hopes alive during the weekend, the Henry County High School Patriots baseball squad begins a best-of-three series in the state sectionals starting Wednesday.
The Pats start a best-of-three series against the Arlington High School Tigers beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Arlington.
The second game will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday. If a third game is needed, it will immediately follow at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The Patriots earned their spot at sectionals after finishing as runner-up in the TSSAA Region 7-4A baseball tournament during the weekend.
The team began by downing the Rossview High School Hawks 5-3 on Friday. The team lost against the Clarksville High School Wildcats in a close 2-0 game Saturday afternoon.
The Big Red then secured the runner-up spot after defeating Rossview again on Saturday, this time by an 8-7 score.
