Science Hill, University High boys doubles teams advance to state individuals

Science Hill and University High boys doubles teams won titles at their respective Region 1 individual tennis tournaments and are now qualified for the state championships in Murfreesboro.

It was an all-Hilltopper final at the Region 1-AA tournament in Sevierville where top-seeded Daniel Haddadin and Shreeyan Papireddy took a 6-2, 6-4 win over teammates Jackson Temple and Newt Raff in the championship round. Both teams rolled in their semifinal matchups with a 6-1, 6-1 win for Haddadin and Papireddy. Temple and Raff won 6-2, 6-0 in their match.
