Mother nature did not agree with playoff baseball and softball across the region on Wednesday as several games were forced to be moved back to Thursday.
While a whole slate was set on both sides of the state line, Dobyns-Bennett softball and Science Hill baseball seemed to be the lucky ones who were able to take the field.
Dobyns-Bennett softball took care of business in the 4A Regional Final over Morristown West (10-0) to win their first 4A Region title in program history, while Science Hill fell in the first game of the Sectional series at Farragut. Game two is set for Thursday.
Meanwhile, many games postponed to Thursday sets up a gauntlet of games for teams vying for state titles over the next several days.
