Four-time defending state champion McCallie defeated Knoxville Webb 5-0 in a state quarterfinal match on Wednesday afternoon at the Strang-Voges Tennis Center on the McCallie campus. The Blue Tornado, now 17-0 on the season, got doubles wins from the teams of Gabe Getz-Henry Imorde and Sean Clark-Juozas Cioladis and singles wins from Clark, Imorde, Cioladis and Drew Holland.
With the victory McCallie advances to its 24-consecutive final four appearance in the state team tournament, where they face Ensworth next Tuesday in Murfreesboro at the Spring Fling.
