CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Rossview High School boys’ tennis team finished their regular season undefeated with a record of 12-0 and went on to be District 13-AA champions with a 4-3 win over Dickson County on April 30. Their season came to an end as Region 7-AA Runner-Up with a loss to Chester County on May 9.

The team consisted of Cade Deterding, Trevor Cherry, Jack Mullaney, Michael Wall, Michael Lawton, Jay Yip, Justin Zheng and Akshay Nair, and the team was coached by Jacob Freeze. However, Rossview High doubles partners Cherry and Deterding are advancing to the state tournament after winning the individual District 13-AA and Region 7-AA Championships.

Cherry and Deterding battled to secure a third-set victory over Lexington High School for the region title on May 15. The RHS duo will now compete in the TSSAA State tournament on Thursday, May 23 in Murfreesboro, TN.
