Mesquite Horn OL Lamont Rogers flips commitment from Missouri to Texas A&M

Rogers is a four-star recruit and is rated as a top 10 offensive lineman in the country.

Mesquite Horn four-star recruit Lamont Rogers has flipped his commitment from one SEC school to another ahead of early signing day.

Rogers announced that he was committing to Texas A&M on Wednesday. The offensive lineman had originally committed to Missouri in the summer.

Rogers (6-7, 311) is one of the premier offensive linemen in the Class of 2025 and one of the best players in the D-FW area. He checks in at No. 7 (and the third-best offensive lineman) on The Dallas Morning News’ D-FW top 100 list for the Class of 2025.

He is also a dual-sport athlete at Mesquite Horn, one of many local offensive linemen who have developed their athleticism partly through basketball. Rogers was named MVP of District 10-6A for the 2023-24 season, not for his football acumen, but his work on the hardwood. He also appeared on the First Team Offense for District 10-6A for the 2023 football season.
