Brandon was the main catalyst for his Prepstarz 17u team in their opening 7:00 win on Friday over Courtside United. Stephens had a big game attacking the rim and drew several and-one opportunities, cashing in repeatedly at the free throw line. Brandon knew how to lock up on defense on the perimeter and inside the paint. The bottom line is that Brandon knows how to make an impact in more ways than just the scoring column. Building off this momentum, he will only continue to raise his stock and improve.

Chris was a machine in the paint for [program_tooltip program_id='2829946' first='Magic' last='Basketball Club'] 16u in their comeback victory over East Texas Magic on Friday night. Anguiano got to the basket at will and was consistent finishing under the rim, then would transition to playing great full court defense on whoever the opposing team's best ballhandler was. Chris's energy was definitely contagious for the rest of his team as he helped fuel a 12-2 run at one point in the second half. He knows how to handle the ball under pressure and is a willing passer but can also score when his team needs a bucket. I was very impressed by Anguiano's game and will be locked in on him all weekend.

Ellis Mitchell came off the bench for Courtside United tonight and had a great motor on the offensive end. He scored from all three levels, and made some great hustle plays to keep his team in the game at times. Ellis made several good outlet passes and had some key buckets on fastbreaks, as well as displaying ability to shoot from outside. Mitchell showed me during this contest that his game can be very versatile, and he is a good multiple tool player.

Shaan was a key force from long range in Prepstarz 17u win on Friday to open up the tournament. He made good decisions on fastbreak as an assist machine and key ballhandler, but also had several pull up three pointers over the defense to further stretch his team's lead out. Shaan always gave 100% whenever he took the floor and coaches love this in a player. He was a good motivational voice for his team as well and shows extreme promise with his shooting touch from three point land.
