UIL softball state scores: Pairings, results and winners for Texas high school teams

The UIL softball state tournament is underway. Six classes with two divisions each have gathered at Red and Charline McCombs Field in Austin to decide the best high school teams in the Lone Star State.
No Central Texas teams made it to the finals this season. Rouse softball finished strong in Class 5A Division II, losing to Montgomery Lake Creek 4-3 and 8-4. Dripping Springs ran into a red-hot Humble Kingwood team and was swept in Class 6A Division II.
