  1. Long time Loudon fan and statistician Bruce Lawson passed away on Tuesday. Bruce was always at the ballgame, and anyone around Loudon football knows how devoted a fan Bruce was. The program and the school will miss his presence on game nights. Please remember the family in your prayers.

My heart goes out to the Loudon Community. Bruce visited Red Bank from time to time to see Coach Daniels and Cobble and was a pleasure to have known. He truly loved Loudon.

  2. C'mon gutless where are you now ??? it has been a week and you gutless punks have shut up !! BOTTOM LINE " YOU GOT YOUR BUTTS WHIPPED" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND TELL COACH SIMPSON HE IS ANOTHER GUTLESS PUNK !!

Easy with the name calling there cowboy, because you and I both know you can say what you want behind a computer. There was not a "butt whipping" if you saw the game you know that. The only reason the score came out the way it did was because the players started cramping. Ask anyone involved in the game what the result would have been otherwise.

  3. Sure they should be. I coached them when they first started out there. They are a bunch of hard nosed kids that always played hard against great odds and it is paying off. I think they took a year or two off along the way. The Skinner kid is a good pitcher and probably a sleeper for a college to pick up and turn into a real prospect with a good weight program and some work.

  4. He isn't going to pick mister Caldwell for what he did last year. This is this year. What are his stats for this year. Don't combine them!

    his 2006 returns are listed

his offensive stats and defensive stats are mirror images of each other so just divide what is listed for combined

  5. What about

  6. Actually temple has had a varsity schedule for 4 years....they have only been eligible for the playoffs and been playing as a part of region 3 for two years....

Skogen should be nominated for mr. football.

He is mr. do it all

In a 53-20 win over #2 in the state South Pittsburg he had 130+ yards receiving on 7 rec. and 3 receiving tds.--- he also threw for a 35yrd td pass, and stripped the quarterback and ran the ball 45 yards in for a td.... 5 tds in one game and a pretty big game at that...

He is the #4 ranked team in the states go to guy and he has yet to be stopped or even slowed down....

    Exactly

Therefore his stats from the two years not playing a TSSAA schedule and also not a true varsity schedule should not count in the record books

  7. Here is some info I found when the TSSAA announced there 2002 Hall of Fame Class.

    * Wayne Reynolds is unique in that not only is he a sports fan, but more importantly he is the greatest sports supporter a school could have. Wayne graduated from Sequatchie County High School in 1944 and has been the play-by-play announcer for Sequatchie County High School football since 1954, missing only one game in over 47 years. He has served as an officer of the Sequatchie County High School Quarterback Club since 1955 and is presently serving as co-director of athletic construction for Sequatchie County schools' athletic facilities.

Why is there only players from the modern era listed? The team from 73' was unbelievable. 27 players 12 seniors. Seen 'em on film. They were very good. Spotted Whitwell 7 that year and proceeded to reel off 41 unanswered points. Whitwell had Henry Yarber(all-state) one of the best to come through that program. Fritz as the Best coach? Try Garren the coach of the '73 team. did Fritz ever get past the second round?

I will get a list of the players from the '73 team and put then on here. Just to name a few. Terry Dishman(All-Conference) , Mark McGuire(All-State)(both rushed for over 1000 yds in '73),

Freddie Clayton(All State), Randall Partin(Most Valuable Lineman), James Kilgore,

    Kent Tate, Barry Layne,

  8. Ricky Lumpkin, Eric Frazzitta, Nick Muldrow, from Kenwood HS. Lumpkin is a Mr. Football finalist and the region MVP in Region 6. Frazzitta was the Defensive Lineman award winner from the same region as well as Muldrow being the Db of the year. Nuff said!

is knoxville the only area where there are 4A teams?
