  1. I'm with you on this one alum. I think that CG learned their lesson about overlooking someone. And I'm sure the coaches have made sure they don't forget the lesson they learned either!!! I'd say practice at CG has been pretty tough this week. I'm still sayin the panthers come out strong on Friday and put on a clinic.

    GO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

when push comes to shove u still cant look over teams and thats exactly what they done last friday the huskees were the only ones that hancock have beaten and from what i herd it was a good game if the panthers dont come out like they shoud they will blow this team over but if not could be anouther nail bitter.....injurys are getting crucial on the gaps side right now jamie richerdson has fully recooperated from that broke foot and fransisco with the ankle problem and johnson's knee.....they need to come out fast this friday so they can rest the main guys up for next week

  2. Looks like the boys from the Gap are looking down the road at GP, Don't they have a game with North Greene this Friday????

With the loss of their outstanding defense end, the Huskies look to pound the ball on the ground this Friday, combined with their passing game----those Panthers better be ready.

  3. Hancock Indians are ready for a upset tonight. CG appears to be quite over-confident in playing Hancock.

Don't forget to factor in a Home Field advantage, along with some Senior Indians that a win could make their season.

A dry field should favor the Indians, with their speed out of the backfield

  4. WOW, were going all out on our first ever post arent we? I can agree with you that CG lost alot of players and Claiborne shouldve won that game last year, but they didnt. They played great up until CG decided to hit them in the mouth and they layed down. When you get up on a team like they did on CG last year you gotta keep pouring it on and not put it in neutral and CHOKE like that. And no one should be comparing the Claiborne-Chuckey Doak score to the CG- Chuckey Doak score because different teams match up better than others. Now, yes our fans are predicting with their hearts because thats what this young CG team plays with is heart. They might not have all their ducks in a row right now but believe me they will come friday night if the Shipley coaches have anything to do with it because they used to coach Claiborne and nothing would make them happier than to leave with ANOTHER win over the boys across the river under their belt. The series has been dominated by CG so where you are getting that Claiborne is going to win the next four or five years i dont know but you need to check the past because its always an indicator of the future. CG 4-1 in this series since it became Panthers vs. Bulldogs!

Claiborne has great leadership on the team this year, combined with talent and their quickness it probably wouldn't be a close game except for the rivialary. CHS 17 CG 14 In a close one till the final buzzer. Watch out for the Claiborne defense in the 4th quarter!

  6. He will be a game time decision. What does anyone think about the cold weather tonight? I thnk it will have more impact on the spread offense. GP's smash mouth offense isn't nearly as affected by weather. anyway.... 6 more hours to kickoff. Can't wait. Go GP.

I can't wait till game time, the excitement of watching Adam dominate G-P tonigh--Good Luck Adam from your Best Buddy Justin, we'll be pulling for you to win tonight. #1 Fan at the gap

  7. Well, well, well......it turns out the C. Gap QB is a celebrity! 6'8" shouldn't be too hard to find in the pocket. (Hint: Hit the tall one!) No wonder everyone up there has been so quiet, it appears they have been trying to hide the kid. The fact that he is relatively new to the school of hard knocks leads me to believe Lambo will give him multiple looks to confuse him. The Tribe gets no respect again this week, as C. Gap is the "experts" pick. Looks like my boys are going up for the fourth game in a row as the underdog. Guess our new song of choice needs to be "Who let the Dogs Out?" I would think C. Gap may try to throw quickly to protect their 6'8" investment, so the Indians may decide to work in some bump coverage to throw the timing off. Regardless of what we try, I'm sure TL has plenty of experience to defend against the spread. (Williamsburg, Ky IMO was about the toughest assignment you can get!) So if C. Gap is that formitable the Indians will have there hands full. Still....its hard for me to envision that team going from the out-house to the pent-house on the shoulders of one kid, but hey more power to them. Get'em boys!

If you think 6'8 is tall , wait till you see how tall it is laying on your backside. -The boys from CG are ready to play football..Oneida doesnt know what they're getting themselves into....

  8. Gapfan06,

Although i am not a fan of either school your reference to claiborne as donkeys and donkeyville is a testament to your immaturity and lack of class, and i am sure is an embarassment to the real, and classy gap fans.

hey, leave gapfan06 alone :thumb: and YOU shut up and show some team spirit

  9. 2mar night its going to be the cumberland gap panthers against the claiborne bulldogs(donkeys) at claiborne(donkeyville) the gap has this one in the bag so everybody come out and support the panthers

  10. Just about every team has at least one rivalry game, sometimes more. Just wondering what people think are some of the best rivalries in high school, bad blood or not.
